Tine Mynster

“I’ve been singing since I was a young girl, and if I didn't know the melody, I just made one up!”

Back then I didn't know that I was a multifaceted artist, as those weren't very used words, where I came from.

I was born and raised in the port city of Kerteminde and have always let my eyes wander over the vast ocean - whether its a inherent longing or to clear my head, I can’t tell, but all I know is that it’s good for me.

After high school I moved to Jutland, first at the Vestbirk Musical Folk High School and later to Aarhus, where I moved in with Rasmus. This is where we started our family, that eventually would grow to four.

I studied at the Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus

from 1992 to 1996. Since then, I’ve traveled all over Denmark performing for and teaching children and their parents.

In 2006, Rasmus and I, now with our two sons, moved to Alrø, on the disused school in the inlet of Horsens.

Here, we achieved what we had wanted since moving in together some twenty years prior: a house, where there was room for all of us playing music, having guests and, in essence, both the physical and mental room for self expression.

As the boys have gotten older, we have opened Galleri Mynster, where I showcase my paintings and arrange concerts, among other events.

Since 2017, I’ve been a professional autodidact painter with exhibitions all over Denmark. Feel free to contact me, if you know a place where my paintings could fit into an exhibition. You can se more about my art and me on facebook.
